He's not a good defender at all, I'd try him further up the pitch afterall he's usually more of a threat going forward.

Up to £6m and no more.
I still think he is a decent player but currently he looks nervous and totally lacking in confidence. I don't get it, he looks paranoid of making a mistake. He's scored a couple of goals this year though.
Didn't like Tomkins there today, despite being a good tackler he looked awkward and just doesn't have the pace. Lots of midfield players covered for him today and even bloody Andy Carroll was in the right back slot at one stage.
Maybe we need to see what other players are available in the position but when you see overpriced player deals like Clyne and Shaw there has to be better value around.

Jenkinson is the typical example of an average player getting an England cap purely because he played for one of the top 4.
Unless we can get him for £3-4m then I'd send him back in the summer.

If he does however turn out to be a one season wonder, then at least Arsenal have signed him to a decent contract on that basis and we didnt buy him and so its only this season we are paying his wages, next season hes Arsenals problem.
Still think its a bit early to write him off though.

Wouldnt write him off and send him packing just yet, not the first player to have a bleak spell, a stint on the bench may be just the motivation as its not just his West Ham place hes fighting for, sure Wenger wont be too impressed if he cant hold down a first team starting place.

Off him. No club's going to offer anywhere near the money that the greedy fuckers want for him, and they won't play him, so he'd probably get loaned out somewhere else.
His complete loss of form this season only reinforces my opposition to having the number of loaners we've got.
